Declan Meehan

Declan Meehan joined the DLDC board in 2022 and represents North Donegal. Declan has ten years’ experience of working in the community and voluntary sector and has been working as Manager of Milford & District Resource Centre since 2019. Declan was a co-founder and former Chairperson of the national LGBTQ+ education charity, ShoutOut. He currently serves as Chairperson of the Swilly-Mulroy Community Health Forum and Chairperson of Ray Community Group. He is also an elected member of the Donegal Public Participation Network’s secretariat.  Declan is passionate about community development, social inclusion and rural regeneration. He has been involved in several local and national campaigns over the past ten years, including those focused on civil and human rights and community advocacy.
