Patsy McGonagle

DLDC Chairman Patsy has been a member of the board since 2017. Patsy has been heavily involved in his local community for many years and is recognised for his contribution to the development of the Finn Valley Centre in Stranorlar and the creation of Finn Valley Athletic Club. Patsy is a former lecturer from LYIT and was a member of the Reserve Defence Forces until retirement as a commandant some years ago.

Patsy has always had an interest in sports and managed Irish athletics senior / Olympic team athletics since 1999 through to 2017.  He was also involved with local and county GAA teams for many years and is the Director of the Finn Valley AC CLG and Finn Valley Leisure centre CLG. He has recently published his memoir ‘Relentless ….A Race through Time’. Patsy is married to Rosaleen and has 5 children.
