Fred Gallagher

Fred Gallagher joined the DLDC Board in 2025.

He is a founder and director of several community-focused organisations, including Comhlacht Forbartha an Tearmann, Craoibhin Community Enterprise Centre, Kilmacrennan Community Development CLG, and Kilmacrennan Community Park. Fred has spearheaded a range of innovative initiatives such as Grassroutes E-Bike Adventures, Craoibhin Cowork+ Hubs, and the Extra Time Thrift Shop and Circular Hub.

A qualified Tour Guide and certified Touch Type, Read and Spell tutor supporting individuals with dyslexia, Fred is also a founding member of Kilmacrennan Celtic F.C. He holds a B.A. in Community Development and a Master’s in Community & Social Enterprise. His work has taken him across Europe through EU rural development projects, reflecting his strong commitment to sustainable community growth.
