One Donegal Social Inclusion Week is officially underway, and Donegal Local Development CLG (DLDC) is proud to be playing its part.
Social Inclusion Week is a time to celebrate what makes communities in Donegal stronger and to highlight the importance of making sure everyone has a place, a voice and a chance to take part.
Social inclusion means making sure that all people, regardless of their background, age, ability or circumstances, can access the services, supports and opportunities they need to live a full and active life. It’s about breaking down barriers and building communities where no one is left behind.
DLDC works with individuals and communities right across the county every day. Through a range of programmes and services, the organisation provides support in areas such as employment, education, training, enterprise, wellbeing and community development.
Whether it is helping someone take their first steps back into work or supporting a community group to get a project off the ground, DLDC is committed to ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.
DLDC is hosting a number of events as part of the wider programme of activities put together by Donegal County Council for Social Inclusion Week. There are plenty of ways to get involved, from attending an event, learning about what supports are available or simply sharing what social inclusion means to you.
