As an Accounting Technician, you will work with a dedicated team of accounting professionals. Your duties and responsibilities will include bank reconciliations, preparation of accounts, completion of VAT returns, filing various returns through ROS, preparation of bookkeeping records, and other finance duties as required.

Fully Qualified or Part Qualified Accounting Technician working towards a qualification or an experienced bookkeeper

• 1 years experience working in an accountancy firm
• Knowledge of Excel and accounting software
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work to strict schedules and deadlines
• Strong organisational skills

Maternity leave position from mid-November for 1 year possibly more, hours are flexible, 15 hours a week with optional extra hours available for lunch cover until 2.30 pm. Hours of work: 5 mornings a week, term time (with the option of the same working hours over holidays)

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Certification in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus!
