Community Employment is an employment programme which helps long-term unemployed people to re-enter the workforce and to enhance and develop their skills. It offers participants part time and temporary placements in jobs based within local communities.
The Community Employment Childcare Scheme is funded by the Department of Social Protection. The Scheme currently operates in a total of 25 different childcare settings in 22 different towns/villages around the county. We have Childcare Assistant vacancies in several locations.

Eligibility: Over 21 years of age and in receipt of a Social Welfare payment or One-Parent Family Payment for at least one year.
