On Charity Trustees’ Week, Donegal Local Development CLG would like to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers who help make the county a better place.
The annual event, taking place from November 10th-14th, celebrates and supports the tireless work and commitment of voluntary charity trustees right across the country.
Now in its ninth year, the week is organised in partnership with the Charities Regulator, Boardmatch Ireland, Carmichael, Charities Institute Ireland, Dóchas, Pobal, The Wheel, and Volunteer Ireland.
DLDC provides advice and guidance to Community Groups through a range of supports including:
- Doing community research and consultation
- Setting up a community group
- CLG Set-up & Registration
- Strategic & Annual Planning
- Committee skills training – running efficient meetings/ managing budgets
- Committee Roles & Responsibilities
- Guidance on available programmes & schemes from Government departments & agencies
- Hosting a community event/ meeting/ information session/ workshop
- Planning for the community – development of plans/ work/ activities
