Are you interested in helping communities in Donegal become healthier?
Donegal Local Development CLG is seeking food facilitators to help deliver 6-week ‘Healthy Affordable Cooking for All’ courses to over 200 participants throughout Donegal. It’s part of the recently launched Food Equality Initiative, a transformative countywide programme supported by PEACEPLUS funding.
The initiative aims to tackle food inequality and promote sustainable living across Donegal.
At its core, the Food Equality Initiative addresses the growing issue of food poverty, the lack of access to sufficient, nutritious food, and its impact on health, culture, and community life. The programme will engage underrepresented and socially disadvantaged groups through a multi-agency approach, involving public bodies, community organisations, retailers, and Donegal’s 21 food banks.
What you need to become a food facilitator:
- Basic food hygiene
- Facilitator experience is a bonus
