Donegal Local Development CLG (DLDC) is inviting registered community and voluntary groups from the North and South regions of our catchment area to take part in the 2025 elections. These elections will select two community representatives from each region to join our Board of Directors. Further details on the catchment area locations are available below.
As a member of a registered group, we invite you to either put your own name forward or suggest someone from your community to stand for nomination to the DLDC Board of Directors.
Being a Director of DLDC plays an important part in shaping the work and direction of the organisation. As a board member, you will:
- Take part in decisions that affect people in your community
- Represent your community in meetings with agencies and partners at local, regional, and national levels
- Stay informed about funding and development opportunities for your area
- Connect with others in the wider community and voluntary sector
- Share updates from the Board with the local groups you represent
Once you complete the nomination form, your name or your nominee’s name will appear on the ballot for our upcoming election. Member groups will then vote for their preferred candidate.
The election will take place in July 2025, and ballot papers will be issued in the coming weeks.
