About the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation
The Bluestack Special Needs Foundation CLG is a voluntary organisation run predominantly by parents of children with special needs and professionals who work in the disability sector. Set up by the Bluestack Challenge committee in 2002, the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation has as its core aim to ‘Enhance the Lives of People with Additional Needs’. The Bluestack Foundation provides a range of services and supports to families who have dependants with physical, sensory and intellectual, and mental health disabilities, regardless of whether the disability results in profound, moderate or mild additional needs. They also work with families who are pre-diagnosis but engaged in the assessment of needs process.
New Business Plan & Services Development – The Board of Directors is now seeking to appoint 1 x Manager (Community Services Programme) and 1 x Administrator to support our ongoing development plans at the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation. These roles will be funded under the Community Services Programme (CSP) and will support the Trustees (the Board) with the implementation of a new Business Plan. That business plan will see the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation embark on a project with four main aims:
- To operate a fully functioning Café employing young vulnerable adults under Social Enterprise Principles.
- To support young adults through commercial training in the hospitality sector and work experience placements.
- To develop Disability Awareness training packages for delivery to local business and community organisations.
- To support and maintain existing service offerings at the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation.
Their Business Plan will see the Board further transform the service offerings, maximising access to and usage of the facility in the benefit of people with disabilities.

|1 x Administrator: Salary €20,500 p.a. (pro rata) |
